Meghan Markle is not longer allowed to wear this

Unless you have been living under a rock with absolutely no internet connectivity this week, you will be well aware that Prince Harry and US actress Meghan Markle are engaged to be married...

With the big date set for sometime in Mary 2018, Meghan has more or less three months to become accustomed for the royal way of life before she full becomes part of the most famous family in the world.

As you might expect, becoming a member of the British royal family is a dream come true for any lucky 'commoner', but there are definitely more than a few rules that you must adhere to in order to stay on the good side of Queen Elizabeth II. Many of the rules relate to public behaviour and responsibilities, and whilst we are sure than Meghan will take to these new rules like a duck to water, there definitely is one small change that she is going to have to make, one that will change the way the public views her forever.

That's right, the particular rule that we are talking about is the fact that the Queen herself has enforced a 'no knees' policy on the adult female members of the royal family, meaning that items of clothing like mini skirts and shorts are a no go, with demure over the knee skirts and longer trousers being the preferred garments of choice. Though we are sure that this new rule in Meghan's life will be adhered to with no problems, there is no doubting that it will mark a significant change in her usual fashion choices and the looks that the paparazzi became used to capturing her wearing over the years.

Looking back on many of her candid snaps over the years, it is definitely fair to say that until now, Ms. Markle has favoured a shorter skirt or sexy shorts in her outfit choices. The former Suits star could be seen, both in informal settings and on the red carpet, in mini dresses and casual jeans shorts that showed off her beautiful pins. We might miss the sight of them, but thanks to the rules of the Queen herself, we are going to have to bid farewell to Meghan's marvellous knees for the foreseeable future, hopefully forever if her marriage to Prince Harry continues in a fairy tale fashion!
