Justin Bieber's Mom Opens Up About Selena Gomez

Deep down, we would all like to know what our family thinks about the person we are dating, and celebrities are no different.

If the rumors are true about Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez getting back together, he no longer has to wonder how his mother feels about his on-again, off-again flame.

Since the first time Justin and Selena were spotted holding hands way back in 2010, they have been one of the entertainment world's favorite celebrity couples. Throughout all of the ups and downs of their love/hate relationship, fans have held out hope that "Jelena" would reunite one day. Now that the day has seemingly arrived, it sounds like Justin's mom also approves of the reported reunion.

While attending the Justice Speaks Holiday Benefit Luncheon in Los Angeles as the keynote speaker, Pattie Mallette opened up to People about her potential future daughter-in-law. Although she admits that Justin is keeping the true status of their relationship close to the vest, Pattie stated her unwavering support for her son and went on to gush over Selena.

"I love her," said the 41-year-old Mallette, adding, "if he loves her I love her, and I've met her and we have a special bond so I think she's precious. I can't really speak on their relationship, that's between them."

To long-time Jelena followers, this news comes as no surprise. Despite the rocky nature of the relationship in the past, Mallette has always thought very highly of her son's former girlfriend. Last year, she took to Twitter to wish Selena a happy 24th birthday, and in a follow-up tweet said she was "blessed" to know the talented songstress, urging her to celebrate the "precious day" of her birth. Taking things a step further, Mallette liked a fan's subsequent tweet talking about keeping Jelena alive, which sent fans into a tizzy.
